Please activate our "campus-wide" online access to the Turfgrass Information File database (TGIF). This special logon is a part of the Academic INSTITUTIONAL subscription of: |
| Name of Institution: |
| This special logon can be used by up to three (3) simultaneous users. It permits unlimited, unmetered online use. The institution’s primary "designated contact" will receive all information and mailings relating to this account, though we certainly hope the information will be distributed as appropriate within the institution. Persons using the campus-wide logon will need to be authenticated. You can choose one of the following methods (please indicate which alternative you choose to implement). We realize that campus to campus implementation and structuring of campus-wide account use will vary widely, and also evolve rapidly. You may wish to consult with your department, college, library, etc., online resource "coordinators" to identify what value below will work best for you in your institutional context. Unless there are extraordinary circumstances preventing both of these methods, please choose one of the two options below. The first option is generally the easiest to implement, most flexible and most reliable. |

1. IP Address Range. You give us one or more range(s)
of IP addresses. Your students can select your institution from a list
of institution subscribers (see list) or access the system directly
via a URL and will not need a login name or password. If you want to
provide TIC access for off-campus users, be sure to include the IP address
ranges assigned to them in the list you provide. If off-campus users
will be connecting through a proxy server, be sure to include its IP
address. |

List IP Ranges: |
| Any person at a computer whose IP address falls within the specified range can log on without entering a password. This is the best method for TGIF access, as it can be used by many different people who either use computers in a specific area (e.g., a University campus) or whose Internet connection comes through that area. |
