Abstract/Contents:Compares ultradwarf bermudagrass and Tifdwarf greens. Suggests that a golf course should not plant ultradwarf bermudagrass unless the golf course is willing to provide appropriate monetary funds, "tools and personnel for proper management." Discusses the use of topdressing, brushing, vertical mowing, grooming and aerification on ultradwarf bermudagrass greens. Addresses fertility on greens. Emphasizes that "proper fertilization is essential to sustain playability and to achieve desirable turfgrass color, density, pest and disease resistance." Provides information on how to irrigate and localize dry spots. Describes overseeding as a way to enhance winter color, but also adds to thatch or mat accumulation. Lists the benefits of tarping during the winter season.
