Abstract/Contents:Presents research conducted to "investigate the effects of Primo regimens on quality, growth and performance of a TifEagle [bermudagrass] green." Describes the conditions of the experiment including information on turf establishment and maintenance treatments. States that "Primo (trinexapac-ethyl, 1EC) was applied at 0 or 2 ounces/acre (0.15 liter/hectare) per week, 4 ounces/acre (0.29 liter/hectare) every two weeks, or 6 ounces/acre (0.44 liter/hectare) every three weeks with a CO2 sprayer." Describes the rating scale of the turf stating that discoloration, turf quality, seedhead coverage, and aerification recovery were rated. Also mentions that clippings, root mass, and ball roll distance were measured after treatment with the plant growth regulator (PGR) Primo. States that Primo treatments resulted in reduced bermudagrass clipping yield, "inhibited seedhead formation and increased ball roll distances in comparison to turf that was not treated with Primo...[and] primo applications may reduce bermudagrass putting green recovery after aerification by inhibiting lateral turf growth."
