Abstract/Contents:Describes "four separate studies on creeping bentgrass or roughstalk bluegrass...conducted in 2007 and repeated in 2008 in West Lafayette, [Indiana], to simulate either spring or fall fairway establishment." States that the effects of Velocity 17.6 SG or Certainty 75 when applied seven, 14 or 28 days after creeping bentgrass seedling emergence; were evaluated. Concludes from the spring study that "although Certainty controlled roughstalk bluegrass better than Velocity 17.6 SG in the spring, all tested rates and all application timings were damaging to creeping bentgrass." Concludes from the fall study that "fall-seeded creeping bentgrass was less sensitive to Velocity 17.6 SG and Certainty and thus recommendations are less conservative for the spring-seeded studies."
