Reviewer Notes Hawes: It would appear that Vesper Country Club up till 1941 had unirrigated fairways, which would have been common for this Lowell, Massachussetts location. They apparently started to irrigate the 15th fairway using a large Rain Mobile Sprinkler (slide 810) and a portable pump (slide 811) in 1941 or 1940. Slide 808 shows an unirrigated fairway on August 14, 1941 and slide 809 shows the irrigated 15th fairway.
