Abstract/Contents: | Bermudagrass and tall fescue were evaluated for quality in 1991 to evaluate the effects of nitrogen and clipping management. These studies indicate that returning clippings can amount to an increase in quality rating comparable to 30 to 40 lb of N/ac over a one year period. If N applications were reduced by that amount and clippings returned, homeowners would save money as well as reduce the potential for environmental pollution by returning clippings. |
