| Abstract/Contents: | The author provides information on topics discussed at the American Society of Agronomy meeting in 1994. Topics discussed include: projects of the USGA Environmental Research Symposium dealing with leaching and runoff of pesticide applications, volatility studies on insecticides (Dylox, Proxol and Triumph), and human exposure to pesticides. Another topic discussed was the leaching of herbicides, insecticides, and nematicides. A study of nitrogen movement in the soil is also described. Other topics include: preferential flow (water movement through macropores as a result of gravity), anthracnose infestation on annual bluegrass, and the influence of wind velocity on plants and soil. |
