Abstract/Contents: | "A granular formulation of the carbamate pesticide oxamyl has been used in a number of experiments in grassland in the UK (e.g. 1,2) and in the Netherlands, where the use of a nematicide as a prophylactic treatment on newly-sown grass has been advocated (3,4). In the present study the impact of oxamyl on the early development and growth of a sward was assessed using the same dose rates as suggested for the Netherlands (J. V. Bezooijen, personal communication). An attempt was made to determine which of the components that contribute to herbage yield are enhanced." |
