Abstract/Contents:Discusses a study conducted to "quantify an American football game traffic on a natural turf surface using biomechanical information and game-video analysis." Shows the results of the study based on main action, sub action, vertical ground force, and horizontal ground force. Concludes "72% of the actions happened between two rows of hash markers. The results of ground force frequencies may be used as guidelines for applying the amount of vertical and horizontal forces in simulating American football traffic. The impulse time of ground forces should also be considered in traffic simulation because the speed of forces affect their levels of impact and turf damage."
