| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the morphologic and genetic analysis of turfgrass cultivars in Saudi Arabia. States that "the objectives of this study were to identify key diagnostic morphological features of 3 cultivars of zoysiagrass and 4 cultivars of bermudagrass grown under uniform greenhouse conditions and to employ RAPD techniques for the identification and determination of their phylogenetic relationships." States that after 3 months of growth, 10 randomly selected shoots were removed and data was collected from the apical portion of each shoot. Concludes that RAPD can be used to determine "genetic purity and phylogenetic relationship between the studied cultivars of turfgrasses." |
