| Abstract/Contents: | "The purpose of the study was to evaluate the effect of a single fungicide application for curative control of brown patch (Rhizoctonia solani). At the study site, brown patch became active in mid-June and was allowed to naturally progress throughout the area. A single application of various fungicides (Figure 1) was applied on 22 July and brown patch monitored for approximately one month. Excellent curative brown patch control was achieved with a single application of the following: Armada (1.2 oz), Insignia (0.9 oz), Heritage TL (4.0 oz) and WG (0.4 oz), and Insignia (0.9 oz) + Revolution (6.0 oz). Control, but limited bentgrass recovery, was observed within plots treated with Medallion (0.5 oz), Daconil Ultrex (5.0 oz), and Compass (0.2 oz)." |
