Abstract/Contents:"Summer stress of creeping bentgrass and annual bluegrass putting greens is caused by a variety of biotic and abiotic factors. The resulting stress manifests itself in a reduction of stand density and the overall appearance of the putting surface. Additionally, stress related injury to the turfgrass often leads to an increased susceptibility of other turfgrass disorders including algae and moss invasion as well as infection from various turfgrass pathogens. This study was initiated to evaluate the efficacy of Revolution® on reducing summer stress and improving the overall quality of the putting surface. Plots recieving Revolution + ProStar exhibited acceptable levels of summer stress on all rating dates (Figure 1). All treatments in which Revolution was applied alone or tank-mixed with a fungicide also reduced the incidence of algae."
