Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the development of buffalograss cultivars at the University of Nebraska and how "the amount of effort and progress in this area has been enhanced due to obtaining a grant from the United States Golf Association [USGA]." Provides information on the five sections that make up the buffalograss improvement project and discusses how "seedlings were planted in early June [1984] and [were] rated for leaf height, rate of cover, and sex determination." Describes three studies conducted to determine "the increase of an outstanding clone of buffalograss;" "the establishment of buffalograss using a seed treatment developed by Dr. Kinbacher;" and "the evaluation of pre-rooted plugs with buffalograss." |
