Abstract/Contents: | SUMMARY: "Lawn clipping practices not only influence many growth conditions that are responsible for the production of quality turf, but cultural practices themselves influence how low a height of cut the turf can tolerate. Provides a check list for the evaluation of mowing practices. Both increases and decreases in clipping height are identified with turf response. Finally, clipping height effects and cultural practices that affect clipping are listed. With these important interrelationships taking place, it's no wonder that mowing is the secret to lawn care." |
