Abstract/Contents:Presents a study conducted "to evaluate the influence of synthetic carpet type, infill mixture, shock pad and wear on shock absorption." Details the materials and methods used in the study. Reports that "the shock pad had a very large effect on Gmax." Also states that "100% CR [crumb rubber] infill resulted in the lowest Gmax values of any infill mixtures with next lowest being the 85% CR treatment."
