Abstract/Contents:Profiles the fields at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York, and discusses their maintenance. States that "soil from the various fields is analyzed at least once every two years. This analysis determines whether or not the soil is low in nitrogen, phosphoric acid or potash. From this knowledge the element or elements which are deficient are applied to the fields." Details maintenance procedures, including rolling and fertilizing in the spring, seeding in the fall, and mowing and weeding in the summer.
