Abstract/Contents:Discusses potential solutions to golf course maintenance issues on golf courses in the Eastern United States. States that "perhaps one of the outstanding problems on turfed areas...not entirely confined to the East, is that of poor drainage and the attendant ills of puddling and poor aeration which induce a shallow root system." Suggests using native grass species. Also discusses fertilizer use, soil testing, organic matter content, and weed infestation and control.
