| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to "assess the ability of various commercially available and confidential fungicides to reduce dollar spot when applied preventively." Explains that "an average of 2 to 3 percent of the plot area was affected by dollar spot when treatments were initiated on 11 June [June 2007]. Approximately 10 days after the initial treatments were applied; most fungicide plots had begun to recover when compared to the untreated control." Reports that "as expected, most of the fungicides (except Heritage) provided acceptable levels of dollar spot control during the study period." Concludes that "although this study was conducted on a bentgrass fairway, it may be necessary to further evaluate these fungicides on fairway turf and also on putting green turf to assess the impact of growth regulation on turfgrass quality." |
