Abstract/Contents: | Reports on a field study that was "designed to study several inorganic soil amendments as a substitute for sand in the top-dressing of an aerified, sand-based putting green." Reports that the "study was conducted on a USGA [United States Golf Association]-type putting green at Pinnacle Country in Rogers, [Arkansas]. The green was planted with 'Penn Links' creeping bentgrass and maintained according to procedures consistent with the remainder of the golf course." Reports that "several inorganic soil amendments proved to be as good or better than sand for topdressing and filling aerification holes." |
