Abstract/Contents:Discusses possible benefits to appraisal of turf production equipment. States that "the value of the equipment to the turf producer may be far different from the value to the insurance company." Explains that "most insurance companies determine market value by utilizing either a straight-line depreciator for replacement cost new, or by what the owner paid for the item, which may or may not indicate the item's actual value." Concludes that "when it comes to the value of an item, it's all relative. Items have different values based on specific purposes for establishing value."
