Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to investigate the effects of Colletotrichum cereale and Colletotrichum gloeosporioides on ornamental feather reed grass. States that no symptoms were observed in uninoculated controls or plants inoculated with Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, but that plants inoculated with Colletotrichum cereale developed disease symptoms within 21 days. Suggests that nurseries and regulatory personnel should screen ornamental grasses "for the presence of [Colletotrichum cereale] so that the disease does not become problematic." |
