Abstract/Contents: | Briefly presents a study "to develop a system for regeneration from embryo drived calli of zoysiagrass that can be used for Agrobacterium-mediated transformation with genes to improve cold tolerance." Mentions the materials and methods used during the study, stating that "embryos isolated from mature seeds of zoysiagrass were incubated...then calli were transferred to the regeneration medium." Reports that there "was a difference in the efficiency of calli induced from mature seeds and embryos." Concludes that "dissecting the embryo from the mature seed proved to be an effective way of inducing callus formation of zoysiagrass." |
