Abstract/Contents: | Briefly presents a study on "the effects of different forms of nitrogen fertilizer [mixtures] on the growth of seashore paspalum," adding that "the nitrogen concentrations in plant tissue and nitrogen losses of different nitrogen formulas with different nitrogen forms were determined." Details the materials and methods employed during the study, stating that "turfgrass coverage, leaf chlorophyll content, and the total nitrogen concentration was measured." Reports that "the results suggest that ammonium nitrogen used instead of nitrate will not influence lateral regrowth of seashore paspalum." Concludes that "the results of this study suggest that using 25% [percent] and 50% ammonium nitrogen instead of nitrate nitrogen significantly increased turfgrass growth." |
