Abstract/Contents: | Presents a question regarding white clover control on a soccer field. Responds that white clover "is one of the most difficult broadleaf weeds to control in athletic fields," and adds that preventive control may be the most effective route. States that "white clover is most susceptible to the herbicides clopyralid, MCPP/MCPA [methylchlorophenoxypropionic acid/2-methyl-4-chlorophenoxyacetic acid], and dicamba," and concludes that applications should be made during the fall or mid-spring. |
