Abstract/Contents: | Presents an inquiry on the implications of playing on a dormant athletic field, responding that "permanent or excessive damage to the turf [is possible]." Explains that "dormant turf has very low vigor...Signs of severe damage include thin open turf and bare soil." Adds that weed invasion is another problem on dormant fields with high traffic. |
