Abstract/Contents: | Presents a response on how to effectively control crabgrass, detailing its characteristics and the various options available for eradication. Suggests that "there is no single right or correct way to deal with crabgrass." Explains that preemergent and postemergent treatment products are available, briefly detailing the circumstances under which they may be favorable. Addresses the possibility that the field cannot be shut down for maintenance and provides alternatives to control the weed. Concludes that "providing an environment conducive to an aggressive, healthy turf is the most environmentally conscientious approach to any and all pest control." |
