Abstract/Contents:Discusses methods for maintaining turf effectively despite small budgets. Provides anecdotes involving constructing infield drags, using scrap wood for level boards, and searching yard sales for possible tools. Suggests that "shopping around and comparing prices can almost cut these [machinery, fertilizer, chemicals, clay, and infield skin topdressing] costs by 15% [percent]." Concludes that "we are such a small industry that helping one another maintain safe, playable, and aesthetically pleasing facilities should be everyone's number one goal."
