Abstract/Contents:"This paper is Part II of a study of which Part I is reported in the preceding edition. The results on natural soil, described here, were more similar to one another than those on the sports pitch construction without topsoil described in Part I. This was particularly the case for the regimes with Methylen-Urea (MU) and natural organic N sources as compared with those based on fast-acting N sources and IBDU. The UF-based regime, however, was again the least efficient, though not to such an extent as on the pitch construction. In general, the natural soil had an equalizing effect by its mobilization of N and its biological activity. The fast-acting N sources were particularly cost-effective. Good results can be expected from combining them with efficient slow-release forms. In conclusion, there is consideration of a fertilizer programme specifically linked to sward use and recovery."
