Abstract/Contents: | Presents research conducted at the University of Georgia (UGA) "(a) to evaluate the phytotoxicity of two wetting agents applied at various rates to a 'Penncross' putting green and (b) to determine the most effective rate of these wetting agents in alleviating hydrophobic conditions." Details the materials and methods used in the study, stating that "the test area was a Penncross creeping bentgrass green located at the UGA Turfgrass Demonstration/Research Plots in Athens." Reports that "the greatest improvement was most evident within the first 30 days after the initial application." Adds that "only Aqua Gro at 128 oz [ounces] resulted in turf discoloration." |
