Abstract/Contents: | Interviews with two greenskeepers provides recommendations on use of the Verti-Drain on bowling greens. Boyd Archer of Padstow Bowling Club, Sydney, declares definite improvement in drainage, increase in waster intake and green drainage after the Verti-Drain treatment. Archer also thinks that the greens should be railed afterwards because of slight irregularity still noticeable. Steve Murphy of Belmore Bowling Club, Sydney, claims that Verti-Drain "loosens up the green like nothing this side of the rotary hoe". If Verti-Drain is used properly, the results are worth the effort. |
