Abstract/Contents: | "Golf is the oldest organized sport in the world and one of the most popular sports as well. It is truely a participatory sport as most of its players are ordinary people not paid professionals. The golf courses on which they play are an asset to any community. In addition to their obvious economic benefits, golf courses have many environmental advantages. They can recycle waste land and water, cleanse the air of harmful polutants, reduce soil erosion , and generally contribute to a healthful atmosphere." |
