Abstract/Contents: | "Golf course superintendents in California are busy complying with new regulations from the state Dept. of Food and Agriculture. Under new rules, which took effect Jan. 1, superintendents and others using agricultural chemicals must submit a monthly pesticide report to the state detailing the amount of material applied. The report must also state the date the material was applied, the site of application, the material manufacturer's name and the material's Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) registration number. Many superintendents in the state say they already keep detailed logs of their pesticide applications, both for planning and liability purposes." |
