Abstract/Contents: | 1982 results of test established 9/81 that includes Rebel Tall fescue seeded alone and in mixtures with 10%, 20% and 50% (by weight) of Adelphi Kentucky bluegrass, Derby perennial ryegrass, Kentucky 31 tall fescue or annual ryegrass. The test has four replications and is maintained at a 1.5 inch mowing height. Three pounds of nitrogen per 1000 sq. ft. have been applied annually during the fall and early winter. The 1982 quality data was taken monthly from May through August and also in October. Visual ratings of ground cover were taken in April, June, and August. Botanical counts were made in October 1982 by removing and counting tillers in four, 4-inch diameter plugs. Results are provided in a table. |
