Abstract/Contents: | "Crabgrass control obtained by the five main preemergence herbicides is often erratic. Turfgrass management practices, both prior to and immediately after preemergent application, influence the activity of these herbicides. Two tests were conducted in 1981 to study the effects of irrigation applied post-treatment to several commercially available and experimental herbicides. No significant differences were obtained in either test. The natural crabgrass infestation was not uniform enough for the experimental procedure used. Additional tests will be initiated in 1982." |
