Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study conducted to test the phytotoxicity of prodiamine and Ronstar on Vinca minor, Vinca minor "Bowles," Vinca major, and Berberis thunbergii "Aurea," and control crabgrass and pigweed. Detilas the methods and materials used in the study, stating that "all plants and seeds were placed in 1 gallon containers in 4:1 pine bark and sand," which were amended with fertilizers and had prodiamine or Ronstar applied. Reports that "no phytotoxicity was apparent on any woody species with either rate of prodiamine or Ronstar at any time during the growing season." Concludes that "it is apparent that prodiamine provides effective control of crabgrass and pigweed with no adverse effect on these woody species." |
