Abstract/Contents: | Suggests that many golf courses have putting greens where basic design principles have been ignored, and therefore no greenkeeper could be expected to keep them in great condition all the time. Provides some points to remember in construction, including to make sure drainage for seepage and surface wash has been provided, to work the soil thoroughly, and to avoid abrupt rises round the edges. Concludes that "observation of the above points will lessen maintenance costs." |
