Abstract/Contents: | Discusses using a complete fertilizer, to be applied on a clear, dry day using one to one quarter ounces per square yard applied twice a year. Notes this rate applies to greens and tees, and that fairways should be applied at a different rate. Explains that these applications form a plant food basis for the year, but additional dressings of sulphate of ammonia may be applied. Warns against turf scalding and recommends to apply during rainy weather or to apply it in liquid form using 1 pound sulphate of ammonia dissolved in 4 gallons of water, distributed over 25 square yards. Concludes by mentioning these recommendations are made for "Blue Couch" and "Indian Couch" under Queensland conditions. |
