Abstract/Contents: | Informs that Rod Tocco "is finishing his project that has focused on water use and playability on a Crenshaw creeping bentgrass putting green at the Hancock Turfgrass Research Center (HTRC)." Explains the procedures used to carry out this project. Provides the gathered results of the study, stating that "1. The only way to increase green speed by decreasing irrigation is to turn the putting surface brown. 2. The use of a TDR is a far superior method to adjust irrigation than using ET." |
