Abstract/Contents: | "Among different turfgrass species, the evapotranspiration and drought resistance difference between cool-season turfgrass and warm-season turfgrass was very significantly (P < 0.01). Evapotranspiration was higher in cool-season turfgrass than in warm-season turfgrass under sufficient soil water. Among cool-season turfgrass, evapotranspiration differed not significantly [(]P < 0.05). The evapotranspiration of bermudagrass turf was higher significantly (P < 0.01) than that of Zoysiagrass turf in the warm-season turfgrass. When water was unsufficient, the warm-season turfgrass had higher drought resistance than Kentucky bluegrass which had lower ET. But when the three turfgrass began to wither, the soil water content of tall fescue was lowest, and soil water tension was higher than the other two. From this point, tall fescue should have highest drought resistance among the three cool-season turfgrass." |
