Abstract/Contents:"Embryogenic callus of Agrostis stolonifera L-93 was treated with 20 GY 60Co gamma-ray and cultured in NB selective medium containing 200 g/L of PEG6000 and drought-resistant regenerated plants were obtained. Such plants were identified on morphology and on drought-tolerance from the Pro accumulation, chlorophyll content, cell membrane relative penetrability, peroxidase (POD), superoxide dismutase (SOD), and catalase (CAT) activity after drought-stress. The results indicated that the drought-tolerance of variants was higher than that of controls."
