Abstract/Contents: | "Crabgrass in a lawn was given two treatments with a PMAS compound at the rates of 2, and 4 ounces per gallon of water per 500 sq. ft. Applications were made at five day intervals and stopped when injury to lawn grasses appeared. The two ounce rate gave a 50% control of crabgrass with only light injury to other grass. The 4 ounce rate gave complete control of crabgrass and a 30% kill of lawn grass, chiefly bluegrass. The bluegrass gradually recovered but number of broadleaved weeds became established in the areas where grass had been killed." |
