Abstract/Contents: | "Responses to a questionnaire sent to all ISTA member laboratories are reported in summarised form. Of the 234 agricultural and horticultural species included in table 2A, part I, in the International Rules for Seed Testing 1976, only 27 would always be classified as crop seeds by laboratories in 37 countries. The remaining 207 species could be classified as either crop or weed seeds. In only two countries would all species in the table be classified as crop seeds at all times. For species not in table 2A the list of those known to be classified as either crop or weed seeds could be almost indefinite. Eighty-nine species were quoted as examples." |
