The via Cagnola Municipal Sports Centre has undergone an overall requalification process: the soccer fields have been remodelled with synthetic turf, and new structures have been added, including a 5-a-side soccer field, also using artificial grass. The via Circonvallazione Municipal Sports Centre had a natural grass rugby field and a soccer field. The existing rugby field has been totally rebuilt, by replacing the natural grass surface and creating a new drainage system, consisting of elements arranged transversely, spaced about 10m apart and connected to the sewer system running along the edges of the field, and parallel elements, about 1.5m apart, placed in the longitudinal direction. This drainage system makes for improved playability, since rugby is a rough sport, causing intensive wear of the grass layer: a drainage system that ensures the prompt removal of rainwater helps prevent early wear and preserve the integrity of the surface."
