Abstract/Contents:"The intervention was prompted by the need to demolish an existing sports centre and rebuild it in a different position to make room for a motorway junction. The portion completed so far includes two soccer fields: a regular size (68 x 105 m) natural grass field and a smaller one (60 x 100m), with a synthetic grass surface, for use as a training field. The surface of the full natural grass size field consists of a mix of microtherm grass species growing in sods resting on a sandy sublayer. The full size field has bleachers seating 528 people, complete with changing rooms for the players and the referees, besides a bar and toilet facilities for the public. The bleachers include a central building of reinforced concrete, which supports the tiers of seats, and a steel structure that supports the roof."
