Abstract/Contents:"The final germination of seeds immersed in 50% K2CO3 was greatest when soaking time was least. Dry seeds germinated better after immersion in K2CO3 than did pre-imbibed seeds. The implications for seed recovery from soil by flotation in K2CO3 are indicated."
