Abstract/Contents: | "Golfers require certain conditions for their daily play. This includes smooth, consistent putting surfaces that reward a good shot. Consistency from green to green is much more important than speed. We all want to have fast, true putting surfaces. But we also know that in the long run the health of the turf is more important than fast greens during stress periods. Your golf course superintendent knows when the time is right to increase green speeds. Trust his judgment and enjoy the game." |
