Abstract/Contents:"Data will be presented on high school student demographics, including national and regional numbers (e.g., Northeast is projecting a large deficit, south/southeast holding steady to slight increase), changes in diversity of college-bound students, enrollment trends in various disciplines (e.g., plant sciences vs other majors), and overall where challenges and opportunities exist. A discusssion on current enrollments of turf programs will be discussed. Additional information on skill sets employers are looking for and trends that may affect the skills needed for turf-related jobs in the future (e.g., robotics, data management, etc.). A summary of information on where our students have traditionally "found" turf science and what the opportunities are, including how college degrees and job opportunities are marketed."
