Abstract/Contents:"The user, the turf, and the environment have quite different requirements as far as the top vegetation layers are concerned. Top turf layers, produced in uniform quality and independent of the object in question are particularly suited when conformity with the requirements is concerned. The four top layer mixtures tested so far on the basis of REBR as well as the corresponding control mixtures differ significantly in essential characteristics. One should keep in mind, however, that the various substrates have been tested at various times on various sites. An objective comparison is therefore at present not possible."
