Abstract/Contents: | "Research was conducted to determine the efficacy of Finale, a new non-selective herbicide, compared to Round-up. The experimental site was a mature blend of Kentucky bluegrass located at The John Seaton Anderson Turfgrass and Ornamental Research Facility near Mead, NE. Treatments were applied using Hudson-type hand pump sprayer. Data were collected on August 30 on percent injury on a scale of 1-100% and percent regrowth on a similar scale on October 2. Experimental design was a randomized complete block with 3 replications. When appropriate, mean separation utilized the Least Significant Difference (LSD) multiple comparison. Finale provided quicker burn-down of Kentucy bluegrass than Round-up. Regrowth, however, was greater from Finale than Round-Up, as indicated by ratings taken on October 2." |
