Abstract/Contents: | In a pot trial, Italian ryegrass cv. Prima Roskilde was grown in (a) sandy or (b) calcareous soil watered with a nutrient sol. using sea water or Tenerife saline well water containing 0, 7.6 or 15.2 g KCl/l. Plant dry wt./pot increased slightly for both soils with increasing K rates and was higher in (b) than (a). Data are given on DM and soil K, Na, Ca, Mg, chloride and sulphate contents at the beginning and end of the experiment. |
